6 Ways Dental Practice has been providing dental services for over 40 years in it’s present site at 129 Gravelly Hill North.
This is an easily accessible site by foot, buses and car. It stands on the main arterial route to and from Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham city centre.
The site is a semi detached property with substantial extension to the rear which was originally an architect’s office. It houses 6 surgeries and a large comfortable reception area.
Car parking is available both on the frontage and off-street at the numerous nearby streets.
Provision of services.
All aspects of Dental Care are provided, under NHS and Private.
Appropriate referral for General Anaesthetic and other medically compromised patients are made to the Birmingham Dental Hospital.
Treatment Plans
Treatment plans are presented to each patient. These are available by printout from the practice based computer system. Each course of treatment is clearly separated from the next within the system. We have a clear policy of not mixing NHS and Private treatments.
NICE guidelines
We are registered with the CQC and Denplan’s Excel system and as such we conform to all aspects of the NICE guidelines on the provision of Dental Care and place high emphasis on the best quality of care in all aspects of the services provided.
Infection Control
We pride ourselves to be in the forefront of the Infection Control guidelines. We already conform to the new CQC and Denplan’s Excel guidelines.
Currently we have 2 ultrasonic disinfectors and 3 autoclaves (all are vacuum cycle) with in the central sterilising facility in the practice.
We have been awarded the status of Regional Centre for Clinical services by the University of Warwick for the provision of clinical facilities for their students on the Warwick Dentistry postgraduate programme for Implant Dentistry.
We have a system of unannounced infection control inspections for each surgery that is carried out on a ‘rolling’ plan.
Additional Services
We have recently taken delivery of our own 3D Cone Beam Scanner. This allows us to plan very accurately any implant endodontic (Root canal) cases with amazing accuracy. We are one of the reference sites for this 3D scanner system in the UK.
